The Sarnia Historical Society is excited to share an evening with staff of the Lambton County Cultural Services Division.

Andrew Meyer, Corporate Cultural Officer for Lambton County and Laurie Webb, Curator/Supervisor of Lambton County Museums will be our guests.

Andrew and Laurie will be sharing updates on the latest from the Lambton Heritage Museum renovation with the Historical Society membership.

The plan for this meeting is to engage in a collaborative brainstorming session, and those in attendance will have an opportunity to present ideas, voice concerns, ask questions and engage in dialogue with us and our panelists.

We want to discuss and explore opportunities for the Cultural Services Division to support the work of the Sarnia Historical Society in our efforts to raise awareness of Sarnia’s rich history.

Our panelists will introduce concepts developed through the Sarnia Libraries Review process, including the integration of local historical outreach displays within the downtown Sarnia Library branch. This will allow the Lambton Heritage Museum to extend the reach of its collections, while creating an excellent opportunity to work in collaboration with the Sarnia Historical Society to profile the stories of Sarnia’s past within the library.

County staff will also provide you with an update regarding the status of the Historical Society artifact collection, and discuss opportunities regarding access and incorporation of this material in future Museum outreach and exhibit renewal planning.
