Ron Smith and Phil Egan (standing, left to right) of the Sarnia Historical Society met Wednesday morning with Randy Evans and Tom Slater (seated left to right) to discuss ongoing projects. The Society thanked them for the commitment to the fallen soldiers who served our community paying the ultimate sacrifice.
“It was nice to meet Tom and Randy and hear the stories of what motivated them to get involved in this project” said Smith. “I think this is the beginning of a great working relationship.”
Tom and Randy are the men responsible for the War Remembrance Project, which is being showcased on the Historical Society website.
Randy and Tom are leaders of the Committee to Relocate Big Tom, the Canatara Park cannon. Randy and Tom St Amand (not pictured) are also working on the Sarnia Street Names Project.
